The BCFA is the British business association for the contract furnishing industry, covering a full spectrum of interior products. There are 250+ members who are accredited by the association upon demonstration of their high standards of professionalism and commitment of service within their market of expertise. BCFA members form a community of leading manufacturers, suppliers and designers of furnishing services for commercial buildings throughout the UK and in world markets.
As members of the BCFA we showcase our abilities as a British manufacturer to design effective and innovative spaces and create seating for our clients, providing design integrity, function, quality and value. Our clients can buy with confidence knowing we have the relevant accreditations and experience to support them with any requirements involving seating solutions.

- HOSPITALITY: hotels, leisure venues, sports centres and stadiums, and restaurants
- HEALTHCARE: hospitals, care homes, medical facilities and surgeries.
- EDUCATION: nurseries, schools, universities and further education establishments including student accommodation.
As BCFA members the seating we manufacture and supply meets the appropriate fire and durability requirements for the markets in which it is used.
The BCFA is a lead partner in the British Furniture Confederation (BFC), which acts as a collective representative for the UK furniture, furnishing and bed industries. Its mission is to ensure a robust and continuous dialogue with Government to understand and influence changes in the market, including sustainability initiatives. The executive team is composed of heads of the industry's leading associations (BCFA, BFM, FIRA, FMC, LOFA and NBF). Sustainable manufacturing is important to Rhubarb Seating, and we demonstrate this with our sustainability accreditations: FISP, FSC, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
